Pieralberto Guarniero is a Lecturer at the Department of Decision Sciences at Bocconi University, and a former Assistant Professor (teaching focussed) at the Department of Statistics at the University of Warwick. He has delivered modules in Statistics, Computational Statistics (Monte Carlo Methods), and Financial Mathematics and Modelling.
He holds a Master's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Padua and a Doctorate Degree in Statistics from the University of Warwick, with a thesis in Sequential Monte Carlo methods. In between his Master's and PhD studies he successfully completed the Master's (Corso di Alta Formazione) in Mathematical Finance at the University of Bologna.
His academic interests include:
- Scholarship of Teaching and Learning: Technology Enhanced Learning, Maths Education, Communication of Science and Teaching in Higher Education in general.
- Discipline related Scholarship: Monte Carlo and Sequential Monte Carlo methods, Econometrics models and applications to Finance.
