The Korea Centre organizes a variety of activities and events to bring the academic and the local communities closer to Korea

 

Students

  •  Cycles of in-depth seminars on specific issues concerning Korea with invited experts
  • Scholarships for thesis research in Korea 
  • Tutoring and mentorship activities for those interested in writing Bachelor's and Master's Degrees theses on Korea
  • Intensive workshops and cycles of seminars
  •  Undergraduate Students Program: Joint program with University College Cork (UCC) which provides supervision for the writing of a research paper and its presentation in a dedicated final Student Conference

 

Research

  • Organization of International Conferences, Workshops and Seminars on Korean Studies
  • Support for the publication of volumes and collections of essays on Korea

 

Local community

  • Organization of events and artistic performances related to Korea
  • Film screenings and organization Korean movie nights

    CALL FOR COMPETITION FOR THESIS PREPARATION AND ENRICHMENT IN KOREA – DEPARTMENT OF THE ARTS
    These scholarships are activated for the third consecutive year as part of the project entitled "Enhancing Korean Studies at the University of Bologna: Bridging Humanities and Social Sciences" (Project No. AKS-2021-INC-2230003), funded by the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) under the "Seed Program For Korean Studies" funding program.

    Projects with the following purposes are eligible:

    Collecting information that can only be obtained on-site in Korea.
    Research in archives or research centers located in Korea.
    Research in collaboration with researchers or professors in Korean universities or institutions.
    The scholarships are reserved for students and graduates of the following master's degree programs:

    LM-89 Visual Arts
    LM-65 Cinema, Television, and Multimedia Production
    LM-19 Information, Culture, and Media Organization
    LM-45 & 65 Music and Theater Disciplines
