From UNIBO to the World’s Rock Stages: Launching the Biggest Rock Band on Earth

On 30 May (18.30-20.00 CET), do not miss the online talk promoted by DiSA - Management Chapter of the Almae Matris Alumni Association. Special guest will be Fabio Zaffagnini, co-founder and CEO of the biggest rock band on Earth, Rockin'1000, but also Alumnus of the University of Bologna.

Starting from his own experience, Zaffagnini will tell us the incredible story of this entrepreneurial and musical project born for fun in 2015, when he was a marine geologist passionate about rock who have never organized an event before to achieve the impossible: gathering 1000 musicians in a meadow to play "Learn to Fly" by the Foo Fighters in unison to convince the famous American group to perform in his city: Cesena.

The speaker

Fabio Zaffagnini

He graduated in Geological Sciences from the University of Bologna and began his career as a marine geologist, working for the CRN of Bologna. In 2015 he created Rockin'1000 with founders Claudia Spadoni, Martina Pieri, Mariagrazia Canu and "Cisko"Ridolfi. Today Rockin'100 is an award-winning company that carries out international projects and is invited to collaborate with partners around the world. The last concerts of the band were in Turin, where it took part in the Eurovision Song Contest, and at the Stade de France in Paris.

Only the members of the Almae Matris Association can participate in the talk. If you are not yet associated, join the Association through the AMA Community social platform.

Alumni can participate in the talk by registering on the event page on AMA Community. Registration has the value of consent to the processing of personal data.

The Morning of May 30, the Alumni who have registered for the event will receive an email from the Association containing the link to take part in the talk.
