The scope of this series of events is to focus on the transmission of information, from micro- to macro- organisms, exploring in an interdisciplinary manner the complex and often invisible mechanisms that underlie life itself – from organic to social life.
Essentially, this project aims to explore the interconnections between biology, psychology, neuroscience, and social sciences through a divulgative approach. The series consists of several thematic sessions (the rationale is attached), with the goal of stimulating a dialogue between different perspectives on three main topics:
• How have cells established their rules? From totipotent to unipotent cells, ontogeny and phylogeny; epigenetics and neurotrophic factors;
• The role of the environment in shaping life: the development of language and "critical windows" for language acquisition; sleep, neural plasticity, and memory;
• Superorganisms, with examples from the animal to the human world.
Our goal is to foster intellectual curiosity, promote dialogue, and engage diverse audiences in reflecting on the multifaceted information transmission, as well as its profound implications for both individual and collective existence.
