Admission to the Collegio Superiore is conditional on passing a test.

Who can access the Collegio

Italians and foreigners

The competitive examination for admission to the Collegio Superiore is open to all individuals, both Italian and foreign, who are enrolling for the first time in a Bachelor's, Master's or Combined Bachelor and Master’s degree program.

Participation in the call for admission to the Collegio Superiore does not exempt students from carrying out the procedures required for admission to the University of Bologna degree courses.

First cycle admission

Who can apply

Those enrolling for the first time in the first year of a Degree Course or a single-cycle Master’s Degree course

Admission test

The admission test consists of:

  • a preselection test with TOLC-I and/or TOLC-SU
  • a written exam
  • an oral exam for selected candidates.

The selection is merit-based.

TOLC disciplinary area

The disciplinary area of the preselection TOLC test (humanistic-social area for TOLC-SU and scientific-technological area for TOLC-I) does not impose any constraints on the degree course the students will ultimately choose.

Second cycle admission

Who can apply

Those enrolling for the first time in the first year of a Master’s degree course.

Admission test

The admission test consists of:

  • a preselection based on qualifications
  • an oral exam meant to evaluate both the critical reasoning skills and the knowledge developed by the candidate in their subject area.
