Winners at Villa d’Este: UniBoAT Takes Home The Style Electric Yachting 2026 Award

We were honoured to be recognised by the Villa d’Este Style Electric Yachting jury for our contribution to the development of sustainable nautical mobility, winning the Best Student Team Award at this year’s event. Having our innovation appreciated on such an important stage is both exciting and gratifying, reaffirming the importance and quality of our project on a national level.

The award was announced at the end of the two-day meeting in Cernobbio, following a parade of our respective prototypes on Lake Como, taking us from Villa d’Este to the foot of Tempio Voltiano, a science museum and neoclassical mausoleum dedicated to Alessandro Volta.

Throughout the event, we were able to share our own experiences and learn from others thanks to the facilitation of Villa d’Este, speaking to universities, institutions and businesses including Politecnico di Milano’s team Physis PEB and Politecnico di Torino’s team H2Fly Although we are delighted to have our project’s technical excellence so highly commended, the real winner of the weekend was sustainable mobility in the nautical world. We left grateful for the opportunity to analyse engineering solutions and having met so many innovative people, and above all inspired to see where a sustainability-first approach will take us in the future.
