Tuesday 7th July 2026 - Day 2 Recap

Before we knew it, we were back at the quay of the Monaco Yacht Club, ready to commence day 2 of the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. The day was kicked off by a morning briefing given by the competition, outlining the schedule for the week with times for the races and tech talks. It was very informative and clarified all our expectations for the rest of the week.

With our catamaran assembled and mounted, we were prepared for the start of the technical inspections of our catamaran, designed to check all the teams are following the rules of the competition to ensure both fairness and security.

Meanwhile, fire training and safety briefings were attended by representatives from each team.

Members of UniBoAT also dropped into the job forum, which gave us the chance to speak to business professionals about what they were looking for in potential employees. Our team enjoyed speaking to the Azimut Benetti Group, premier Italian luxury motor yacht manufacturer, learning about their opportunities for graduates in the engineering sector and beyond.

The marketing team were also busy shooting content for sponsors and for the on-site Communication Challenge, which was a perfect way to connect with members from the other teams and begin working together. Stay tuned for the outcomes on our Instagram page!
