Friday 3rd July 2026 - Pre-Monaco Energy Boat Challenge excitement: How UniBoAT have been preparing

We are in the final week leading up to the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge and it is crunch time – each division is pushing hard to ensure we are as prepared as possible for our arrival in Monte Carlo.

The powertrain, hydrodynamics and structures teams have been refining all the final details of the boat, utilising the University of Bologna engineering department’s basin to test all the tweaks and additions made to the catamaran since our test weeks in Ravenna.

The logistics division has been organising accommodation and travel for each member going to Monaco, as well as preparing to transport our catamaran and equipment from Bologna to Monte Carlo. They have been creating daily schedules for efficiency and clarity, making sure we make the most of every minute of the competition.

The marketing team has been finishing all the challenges for the Communication Prize and sponsored posts pre-Monaco, as well as preparing as much as possible for the content that will be created and released during the week of the competition.
