Saturday 11th July 2026 - We Triumph at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2026, Winning the Championship Race, Slalom and the Energy Class Title

We have once again made history at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge 2026, securing overall victory in the Energy Class and claiming our fifth title in six participations at the prestigious international competition organized by the Yacht Club de Monaco.

Another Victory in the Slalom

The final day of competition brought another remarkable achievement as we claimed victory in the Slalom event.

Designed to test manoeuvrability, responsiveness and precision, this discipline showcased Futura's exceptional handling characteristics. Navigating the course with speed and accuracy, we delivered the best overall performance, adding another gold medal to an already unforgettable week.

A Commanding Victory in the Championship Race

The highlight of the week came during the Energy Class Championship Race. After qualifying in second place, we entered the final determined to fight for the title.

With a flawless drive, remarkable precision and complete control throughout the race, our pilot set the fastest run of the competition on the second of three final attempts. No other team was able to improve on that benchmark, securing another prestigious victory for UniBoAT.

This result reflects the reliability of our boat, the countless hours of work invested by every department, and the perfect coordination between our driver and the entire technical team.

Energy Class Champions 2026

Our victories in both the Championship Race and the Slalom crowned an extraordinary campaign at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge.

Those efforts ultimately paid off, as we were crowned Energy Class Champions 2026, reaffirming our position among the leading university teams in sustainable marine innovation.

The Monaco Energy Boat Challenge is much more than a competition: it is an international platform where the next generation of engineers develops the technologies that will shape the future of sustainable boating.

For us, winning the Energy Class once again is not only a source of pride, but also confirmation that passion, innovation and teamwork continue to drive us towards new challenges and even greater ambitions.

This achievement belongs to every member of our team, as well as to our professors, alumni, partners and sponsors, whose trust and support make our journey possible. Together, we continue to push the boundaries of sustainable marine engineering and inspire the next generation of innovators.
