Friday 10th July 2026 - Day 5 Recap

On Friday at the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge Massi brought another podium for UniBoAT, as Futura claimed 3rd place in the Energy Class Endurance Race after an intense and thrilling competition.

Our pilot, Massi, delivered an outstanding performance throughout the race, making several spectacular overtakes and steadily working his way to the front of the field. Thanks to an excellent pace and flawless driving, Futura was leading in the closing stages of the race.

Unfortunately, just a few metres before entering the harbour at the end of the race, we ran out of available power. The boat had to be towed back to the dock, resulting in a one-lap penalty that dropped us to third place in the final standings.

Although there's naturally some disappointment after coming so close to victory, we're proud of what the team achieved. This podium reflects the dedication, teamwork, and countless hours of preparation that made such a performance possible.

In the afternoon, attention turned from racing to innovation during the Tech Talks. UniBoAT presented its sustainable engineering solutions for the EcoConception Prize, sharing the design choices and environmentally conscious approach behind Futura, and highlighting our commitment to combining high performance with sustainability.

With another podium secured and an important opportunity to showcase our project beyond the races, we look ahead to the final day of the competition with determination and confidence.
