Sustainable mobility requires cutting-edge solutions that combine efficiency, safety, and lightweight design.
It is within this context that the collaboration between Carbon Cylinder and UniBoAT emerges, uniting academic research and technology for the future of mobility.
Carbon Cylinder, a company specializing in the production of composite cylinders, has supplied the UniBoAT team with its Type 4 cylinders, designed for hydrogen storage.
These cylinders stand out for:
- Extremely lightweight – they are up to 50% lighter compared to metal solutions.
- Strength and durability – no corrosion, reduced maintenance, and long service life.
- Sustainability – they are fully recyclable, with a low environmental impact.
- Versatility – customizable solutions for various applications, from the marine to the industrial sector.
To complete the project, two 300-bar valves for H2, produced and supplied by Cavagna Group, were used.
Cavagna Group is a family-run concern founded in Italy, in 1949.
It has always specialized in the manufacture of equipment for processing, distributing, controlling and measuring all kinds of gases at all stages in various supply chains.
