Thursday 9th July 2026 - Day 4 Recap

Today was an exciting day as, after the fun of the Opening Ceremony on Day 3, it was time to kick off the competition with the first of the races! 
First, however, was the parade, which showed off all the boats in each class. We were so excited to showcase all our hard work from the last year. All the boats were so different and clearly represented the journey each team had gone on during their creation.
Our boat, Futura, then completed the qualifying laps in the stadium, and we were pleased to finish second, ahead of the championship race!
After a short break, we competed in the speed record, once again in the stadium, and all the team were cheering in support! We placed third In the energy class, achieving an impressive speed of 24.19 knots.

After the daily prize giving ceremony recognising the achievements of the day and records broken, we competed in the E-Sport championship race which was a great way to bring all the teams together and get competitive at the end of the day.
With endurance and the tech talks lined up for tomorrow, we can’t wait to get back onto the water again!
