Hydrodynamics

  • What it is

Creates technologies to convert hydrogen into electric energy

  • Who it’s for

    Industrial Chemistry, Automation/Energetic Engineering

The Hydrodynamics Department is involved in several tasks: we are “propelling” our team to victory thanks to the development of new, more efficient, types of propellers. The main goal of this year is to fly on the waters of Montecarlo with a set of foils.

Main tasks:

  • Studying new types of propellers to boost performances and reducecavitation
  • Developing a mechanical system for the foils- we aimto makeit electro-actuated
  • Developing a flight dynamics model for foiling

  • CFD analysis of propellers and engine strut
  • Designing and manufacturing carbon fiber components
