Signed in 2015, the UN Agenda for Sustainable Development is an action program through which improving the living conditions on the Planet, in the name of equality, prosperity and respect for each form of life or natural resource.
The Agenda is also a challenge launched to all the humanity, in order to develop a better world, respecting diversity and guaranteeing to everyone the same opportunities and living conditions. For this reason, the program addresses important issues such as the fight against poverty and famine in the world, gender inequalities and all forms of inequality, irresponsible consumption and climate change; supports the right to health, quality education, decent work and peace for all, and promotes the conscious use of water, renewable energy and all the resources of our planet.
Each Country is called to define its own strategy that UN will monitor and evaluate. Every four years, the Heads of State of the signatory Countries will meet to discuss together the progress of the Agenda. The next appointment is scheduled in 2023!
