Workshop: Advanced Cropping Systems: Innovations and Applications
As part of the PRIN project VFarm – Sustainable Vertical Farming, the University of Turin organized the workshop "Advanced Cropping Systems: Innovations and Applications", held on April 10, 2025, at the AgroVet Campus (Micheletto Hall, Veterinary Building) in Grugliasco (TO). The event, promoted by the Department of Agricultural, Forest and Food Sciences (DISAFA), represented an important opportunity for scientific exchange on innovative cropping systems.
Throughout the day, strategic topics for the future of agriculture were addressed, including technologies for vertical farming and sustainable practices, cultivation techniques for microalgae, mushrooms, and ornamental species, aquaponic systems and integrated approaches, and biotechnological innovations applied to plant production. The workshop saw active and engaged participation, with numerous moments of discussion and networking among students, researchers, and professionals in the field.
