We work on adopting Extended Reality (XR) - that includes Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR) - to revolutionize how industries work. From factories to airplanes to ships, we’re helping companies train, design, and operate smarter with cutting-edge technologies.
Our activities mainly focus on:
1. Designing and Prototyping in Virtual Reality: we bring ideas to life in full-scale VR models. Engineers and designers can walk around, test, and refine products - whether it’s a new aircraft cockpit, a ship’s control room, or a high-tech factory layout - before committing to expensive prototypes.
2. Training Simulations: we create hyper-realistic VR adn AR training environments for pilots, ship crews, factory workers, and engineers. This means people can practice in a safe space, reducing errors and boosting confidence before they ever touch real equipment. We can also simulate hostile environments like deep-sea rigs, space stations, and high-risk industrial sites. Our research helps test how humans perform in these conditions and how XR can enhance safety, communication, and efficiency in extreme scenarios.
3. Augmenting Workflows with AR Assistance: we develop AR-powered guides that overlay real-time instructions right onto the equipment. This helps workers reduce mistakes, speed up processes, and stay hands-free while following complex procedures.
4. Remote Collaboration and Digital Twins: we are making possible for engineers, technicians, and designers to collaborate using shared virtual workspaces and digital twins. It can support collabortive design reviews or troubleshooting with a team on different continents inside the same VR model.
5. Enhancing Situational Awareness and Decision-Making: ee develop XR dashboards and real-time data visualizations to help operators and managers see complex information in an intuitive way, reducing response times and increasing accuracy.
6. Validating Cutting-Edge XR Tech: we experiment with new XR hardware, sensors and AI-driven environments to benchmark technologies for industrial applications.
