Dal 13 al 15 novembre 2024 si svolge il convegno internazionale "Butrinto Cento (1924-2024). Bilanci e prospettive" presso il Dipartimento di Storia Culture Civiltà dell'Università di Bologna, complesso di San Giovanni in Monte. Il convegno è a cura di Enrico Giorgi, Belisa Muka, Federica Carbotti, Nadia Aleotti, Veronica Castignani, Francesca D'Ambola e Giacomo Sigismondo.
Nell'anniversario dei cento anni dall'inizio del primo viaggio in Albania meridionale di Luigi Maria Ugolini, che avrebbe portato alla riscoperta di alcuni dei maggiori siti archeologici della regione quali Phoinike, Çuka e Ajtoit e Butrinto, il convegno nasce come occasione di incontro e confronto tra le missioni italiane, albanesi e internazionali che operano in Albania meridionale e in Epiro greco per un aggiornamento sulle più recenti attività.
Il convegno, realizzato grazie al contributo del Dipartimento di Storia Culture Civiltà e del progetto PRIN 2022 FortNet, si svolgerà in modalità mista in presenza e online (Microsoft Teams)

From 13th to 15th Novembre 2024, the international conference “Butrinto Cento (1924-2024). Bilanci e prospettive” takes place at the San Giovanni in Monte complex of Department of History and Cultures, University of Bologna. The conference is organised by Enrico Giorgi, Belisa Muka, Federica Carbotti, Nadia Aleotti, Veronica Castignani, Francesca D'Ambola and Giacomo Sigismondo.
On the one hundredth anniversary of the beginning of Luigi Maria Ugolini's first journey to southern Albania, which would lead to the rediscovery of some of the region's major archaeological sites such as Phoinike, Çuka e Ajtoit and Butrint, the conference was created as an opportunity for Italian, Albanian and international archaeological projects working in Albania and Greek Epirus to meet and discuss the latest research and field activities.
The conference, supported by the Department of History and Cultures and the PRIN 2022 FortNet project, will be held both in-person and online (Microsoft Teams).
