International conference "Butrinto Cento (1924-2024). Bilanci e prospettive", Bologna, 13th-15th November 2024
From 13th to 15th Novembre 2024, the international conference “Butrinto Cento (1924-2024). Bilanci e prospettive” takes place at the San Giovanni in Monte complex of Department of History and Cultures, University of Bologna. The conference is organised by Enrico Giorgi, Belisa Muka, Federica Carbotti, Nadia Aleotti, Veronica Castignani, Francesca D'Ambola and Giacomo Sigismondo. On the one hundredth anniversary of the beginning of Luigi Maria Ugolini's first journey to southern Albania, which would lead to the rediscovery of some of the region's major archaeological sites such as Phoinike, Çuka e Ajtoit and Butrint, the conference was created as an opportunity for Italian, Albanian and international archaeological projects working in Albania and Greek Epirus to meet and discuss the latest research and field activities.
