The University of California Berkeley (UC Berkeley) is the first public university in the world and the fourth best university after Harvard, MIT and Stanford. Among its students 31 nobel prizes and teachers of the highest level, including Professor Miguel Altieri, who joined the PASS network by participating as a teacher at the Spring School of AgroEcology organized by UNIBO in 2018. Miguel is Emeritus Professor of Agroecology at UC Berkeley and has always worked to promote Agroecology as a sustainable development strategy.
