Integrating the 12 Green Chemistry principles into the pharmaceutical R&D pipeline with the One Health holistic approach can be instrumental to solve the global challenge of vector-borne parasitic diseases. Like in the yin-yang relationship, these two aspects highly complement each other and might lead to anti-infective new drugs able to cure diseases in animals and humans, safeguarding the environment.
We are really glad to announce the launch of the new project “Targeting Circadian Clock Dysfunction in Alzheimer’s Disease” founded by Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions. This ambitious project aims to contribute to development of new insights in circadian clock drug discovery throughout studying molecular mechanisms that govern circadian rhythms in AD, identifying new therapeutic targets and developing rational designed compounds.
We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the prestigious Italian FISR-2019 (Fondo integrativo speciale per la ricerca) Grant. The investment is intended to finance specific research interventions of particular strategic importance for Italy. The financed 3-year project, named PROLEISH, will be developed counting on three strategic partners: UNIBO, CNR and Istituto Superiore di Sanità. Stay tuned!
