Webinars "Le ricerche archeologiche Italo-Albanesi: Ricerca, Conservazione e Sviluppo Sostenibile" - Second Part

Webinars in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Tirana, the Albanian Ministry of Culture, Assorestauro, the Archaeological Institute of Tirana, the University of Bologna, the University of Chieti-Pescara, the University of Macerata, CNR - Istituto di Scienze del Patrimonio Culturale.

Archeology is one of the fundamental components in the Albanian cultural landscape and its conservation, along with the coherent and conscious integration within the territorial development, is a central theme in the policies supporting a balanced economic and social growth.

The model that the Italian-Albanian missions are experimenting in relation to both the methods of documentation and conservation of the archaeological heritage and its integration in the context of sustainable development policies is evolving in highly innovative forms and the webinars aim to be an important opportunity for discussing their applications.

The webinars will be dedicated to the methodologies and experiences for the conservation of the archaeological heritage and its integration in the management policies of the archaeological parks. A specific focus will be on the objectives, methods and results of the restoration programs began by the Italian-Albanian missions as part of their research and enhancement activities.

The cycle, hosted by the directors of the Missions, will see interventions of Italian and Albanian experts, all the protagonists of the activities carried out to date, including teachers and experts from local universities. MIBACT researchers will also be involved, in particular from the Central Institute for Archeology (ICA) and the ICR (Central Institute for Restoration) and the Ravenna School of Restoration.
