Training activities for Italian and Albanian students

Given the special focus on the training dimension of the Butrint Project, the Italian and Albanian archaeology students taking part in the excavation activities are also involved in professional training courses in the field of remote sensing in archaeology and the topographic survey of cultural heritage. Students are able to practise the use of this equipment in the documentation, conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage, and in this way understand the great potential of non-invasive investigations in archaeology.

In this regard, particular attention is paid to training in the use of instrumentation such as Total Station, Laser Scanner and GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar).
