Meetings with tour guides of the Butrint Archaeological Park

The project placed a strong emphasis on public archaeology and community engagement, focusing on the active dissemination of research findings to local stakeholders. An update meeting was held with the authorized guides of the Butrint archaeological site, during which the latest results of the Butrint Project were presented. The goal was to help guides integrate these findings into the narratives and information they provide to visitors, enhancing the educational and interpretive value of their tours.

The meeting also provided an interactive forum for discussion, allowing guides to ask questions, share observations, and explore how archaeological research can be effectively communicated to the public. To ensure broad participation, a follow-up online session was planned, giving all guides the opportunity to access the latest discoveries and strengthen the connection between ongoing archaeological research and public engagement at the site, fostering a collaborative relationship between the research team and the local community of site interpreters.
