Last day of the "Festival dello Sviluppo Sostenibile", Tirana, 9/12/2020

The final meeting of the Sustainable Development Festival, "Conservation and protection of cultural heritage in Albania: the Italian model of sustainability", was held on 9/10/2020 in Tirana. It dealt with the need to enhance the Albanian cultural heritage for a sustainable future. The University of Bologna, in collaboration with the Archaeological Institute of Tirana, has been deeply involved in reaching this goal through its excavations, research, conservation and enhancement activities in the archaeological sites of Butrint and Phoinike, as well as in the surrounding territories. Many speakers joined the conference: the Italian Ambassador in Albania Fabrizio Bucci, the Minister of Culture Elva Margariti, the President of Assorestauro Alessandro Bozzetti, the professors Giuseppe Lepore and Enrico Giorgi of the University of Bologna, the professor Sonia Antonelli of the University of Chieti-Pescara and Professor Roberto Perna of the University of Macerata.
