A RED RIBBON FOR PATRICK GEORGE ZAKY

The University of Bologna shows solidarity with Patrick and strongly demands that he can return to attend his classes at the University of Bologna as soon as possible.
In the meantime, the University has opened an email account for those who wish to write to Patrick, to let him know that we are not leaving him alone. The email address is FORPATRICK@UNIBO.IT.

Francesco Ubertini, rector of the University of Bologna, said: "writing can be an excellent tool of resistance against the violation of essential rights, as well as a way of creating a bond and reducing distances". Let's make our voices heard!

The High Commissioner Spokesperson's Statements on the Colombian Situation

We want to express our concern about the current situation in Colombia, and demonstrate our solidarity to the Colombian students, collegues, and friends studying in our Universities and living in our communities. We want to spread their call for actions, as they bravely denounced the multiple acts of violence and human rights violations committed by government police that have occured in the last few days within the framework of the social mobilizations that are taking place in Colombia. We also want to show our solidarity to the victims and manifest our indignation about the lack of garantees for demonstrations.
