Activities

Sportcomlab experiments and studies new forms of sports communication, paying particular attention to ethical values and basic fair play, central focus in the development and the socialization processes of the individual. Therefore, it develops communication projects and initiatives for institutions (CONI, the Emilia Romagna region etc.) and public and private sports associations (Uisp Regione Emilia Romagna, CSI provincia Bologna, Consorzio Vero Volley Monza, etc ...).

Specifically, Sportcomlab provides to implement the Sports Communication Archive - through thesis, print collection on various media and teaching materials, such as documents from research centers, institutions, companies and non-profit organizations, as well as press releases on sports culture topics containing interviews with university professors or experts in sports and mobility issues for well-being and rehabilitation.
In 2006, the laboratory created the "Voice of the Faculty". Press releases and interviews produced in these years are collected in the Archive. It collaborated to promote Motor Science courses during Orientation Days of the "Alma Mater Studiorum" - University of Bologna, as well as Summer School in Sport Sciences, through the participation of its members in lectures on sports communication, creation of press releases and conference proceedings.
The structure also has the possibility to host students from the Alma Mater or other Italian and foreign universities for internships in order to acquire and deepen knowledge and techniques related to sports communication, as well as to learn the analysis tools of the socio-cultural context in which the sport phenomenon grows and develops.

Finally, SportComLab offers information to all those who love sport and who believe in its importance at an individual and collective level.
