Prof. Marco Milani

University of Bologna

Project Director and main coordinator of the SEED Project

He is responsible of two new courses at UNIBO - Media and Communication in East Asia and Media, Culture and Society in Korea and East Asia - and the main coordinator of the Mentoring program.

Prof. Milani leads the team for the organization of the seminars, the intensive workshops for students and the joint program with University College Cork (UCC). He is also the director of the Korea Centre and participates in the research activities. Together with other members of the project team and the support of the Department of Arts at UNIBO, he will also organize the Korean Art performances. As for the networking pillar, Prof. Milani is part of the international conferences organizing committee and will co-edit the books that will collect the papers. He is in charge of promoting relations and networking among Korean Studies academics based in Italy and Europe.

 

Prof. Antonio Fiori

University of Bologna

SEED project Co-Researcher

Prof. Fiori is part of the Mentoring team for students (including the supervision of the publication for students and junior scholars) and collaborates in the organization of seminars, the intensive workshops for students and the joint program with UCC. In addition, Prof. Fiori has prominent role in the Korea Center and participates in the research activities aimed at the publication of academic papers.

Prof. Fiori will also be part of the organizing committee of the international conferences and will co-edit the books. He will have an important role in strengthening the network of Korean Studies in Italy and Europe and will have a key role in promoting relations between the University of Bologna and Korean academic institutions.

 

Prof. Matteo Casari

University of Bologna

SEED Project Co-Researcher 

Prof. Casari is part of the Mentoring program. In addition, given his specific expertise, Prof. Casari will have a prominent role in organizing the Korean Art performances. Lastly, he will also provide important additions to the research pillar in the Humanities side of the project.

 

Prof. Kevin Cawley

University College Cork (UCC) 

SEED Project Co-Researcher 

Prof. Cawley is the co-coordinator of the joint program between the University of Bologna and University College Cork, supervising and coordinating the activities of the program at UCC. 

 

Prof. Kim Sunhyuk

Korea University

SEED Project Co-Researcher

Prof. Kim has a prominent role in facilitating the networking and collaboration between the University of Bologna and Korean academic institutions. In addition, he is in charge of one of the intensive workshops for students (on Korean Politics and Political Science) and part of the “virtual” mentoring group.

 

Prof. Kim Suk-Young
