Supporting local authorities and institutions in the sustainable management of cultural heritage at risk

The sharing of operational criteria and good practices in the management of cultural heritage at risk is an essential starting point for all operators who are called to intervene during emergencies, each bringing their own specific skills and knowledge.

Working in strong synergy with the project SIRIUS- Managment strategies for cultural heritage at risk, the RESTART team will organise a series of technical workshops aimed at addressing the need to establish a virtuous process of exchange of skills and operational criteria among the different actors involved in the management of risks impacting on cultural heritage (e.g. Local Authorities and Institutions, Universities, Civil Protection, Law-enforcement, etc.).

The research activity will focus specifically to the definition of shared and synergic action strategies to be adopted also in the pre- and post-emergency phases, reasoning on the opportunity to develop intervention plans and guidelines that may represent a first step towards an intervention methodology that is replicable and adaptable to different cultural contexts.
