Welcome to the website of the Polymer Science and Biomaterials group, led by Prof. Maria Letizia Focarete, at the Department of Chemistry "Giacomo Ciamician", University of Bologna! Within our Lab there are the expertise and facilities required to design new polymeric materials with physico-chemical properties aimed to specific applications. The Lab is equipped to undertake most aspects of polymer processing and characterisation, as well as surface functionalization and characterization of polymeric materials. We have been active, since about 15 years, in the field of electrospinning to produce innovative nanostructures.
