The main objective of the BIODOT bilateral consortium is to develop an innovative material platform based upon functional biobased and biodegradable composite nanofiber membranes comprising polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) enriched with carbon dots (C-dots). These new "bening-by-design" materials will be fully bio-based and applied To water purification, photocatalytic degradation of pollutants, and removal of oil-spills.
