Youth Committee of the Italian National Commission for UNESCO

The aim of the Youth Committee of the Italian Commission for UNESCO is to promote and support the activities and values of UNESCO in Italy in the fields of education, science, culture and communication, through an active participation of young people in initiatives and events organized at a National level. The Youth Committee was founded in 2014 on the initiative of four young delegates and former trainees of the National Commission.

STEFANIA MELANDRI will represent the Youth Committee within the framework of the EDUU project. 

In the Youth committee, she is leading "UNESCO-Edu" project for the Emilia-Romagna region, the national training program for high schools promoted in collaboration with MIUR (Italian Ministry of Education). As a former Program Development Intern at the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-HABITAT) in New York HQ, she is engaged in fostering the successful implementation of the recently-established Sustainable Development Goals (Agenda 2030) in the communities world-wide through master-planning, outreach and organization of the events for multi-disciplinary and inter-governmental stakeholders. In particular, she is actively engaged in implementing SDG 4, ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning.
