S-EAT

This project assesses the applicability of an e-learning course for promoting multidisciplinary knowledge about healthy and sustainable eating and the role of psychologists in promoting sustainability, in line with APA guidelines and the UN 2030 Agenda.

PROJECT IMPACT

Food education for sustainability, still scarce in European curricula, has become increasingly crucial. For this reason, the Sustainable Eating (SEAT) Corner project was created with the aim of building on the insights from Sustainmind, transforming them into a video course designed to increase awareness and literacy on sustainable nutrition, with the ultimate goal of promoting the adoption of a healthy and sustainable diet. The course, developed for Psychology students at the University of Bologna, addresses topics such as personal values, eco-emotions, and connection with nature, while integrating key knowledge on food systems, their environmental impact, and food safety. This video course represents an important starting point for the development of new educational tools, particularly for health professionals, who are now called to care for their patients also in light of the structural changes brought by the climate crisis.
