This project investigates psychological factors, such as mindfulness, climate change concerns, psychological well-being, and personal values, that moderate the relationship between intention and concrete action in the domain of sustainable eating behaviors.
PROJECT IMPACT
The Sustainmind project explores the psychological factors that encourage the adoption of a healthy and sustainable diet, in line with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Inspired by the APA guidelines for professional practice in psychology, the project highlights the crucial role of personal values and climate change concerns in shaping consumer choices. The findings provide valuable insights not only for psychologists, who can gain a deeper understanding of the mechanisms behind dietary behaviors, but also for policymakers, who are called upon to design policies that leverage individual values and foster large-scale collective change.
