The group’s research activity adopts a multidisciplinary approach and focuses on:
- Clinimetric approach and complex interaction models (network analysis) for the assessment and treatment of Feeding and Eating Disorders.
- The role of psychological factors (cognitive, emotional, behavioral, family-related and positive functioning) in the onset, maintenance and outcomes of Feeding and Eating Disorders.
- Efficacy and effectiveness of psychological therapies, collaborative care and multidisciplinary interventions for the treatment of Feeding and Eating Disorders, obesity and unhealthy eating attitudes
- Usability and feasibility of innovative treatments for the prevention and treatment of Feeding and Eating Disorders and obesity and unhealthy eating attitudes
- Psychological factors, dieting and unhealthy eating-related lifestyles and medical conditions (e.g. obesity, diabetes)
- The psychology of Food Choice: barriers and challenges in promoting healthy and sustainable eating patterns in general population and in patients with medical conditions
- Deepening of the One Health Approach and issues related to Ecopsychology, in particular the role of nature connection and mindfulness in supporting healthy and sustainable food choices
- Ecoanxiety and climate change worries and their relationship with eating behaviors, from dysfunctional and disordered to healthy and sustainable
- Exploring the use of virtual reality in the prevention of eating disorders and the improvement of transdiagnostic factors
- Investigating how new technologies can promote sustainable and healthy eating behaviors in the general population
