Updating Values

“Updating values” is the second edition of FutureDesignEd Symposium – Innovation in Design Education, Innovation in Education by Design, an academic research project promoted by the University of Bologna Design Programs that aims to observe the ongoing transformation of design education.

The 2020 edition, hosted by the University of the Republic of San Marino, will take place on 16-17 January 2020 at the Antico Monastero Santa Chiara in the Republic of San Marino.

The Symposium gives voice to the strategies and motivations behind the innovation excellence in the curricula of design universities, but also to the alternative training programs based on approaches and tools from the design cultures.

At the same time, it enables students, educators, researchers, practitioners, businesses to explore contemporary agendas, emerging directions and future challenges on the subject of design education.

FutureDesignEd 2020 consists of a two-days event focused on two different subjects: “student centered design education” and “future centered design education”, deepen both through a critical contribution provided by invited speakers and the presentation of the results of the survey.
