Work Package 3 aims to deliver a comprehensive economic analysis that identifies the drivers and obstacles influencing the dairy-cow supply chain, so they can be leveraged or mitigated when assessing the proposed strategies. The first task is to conduct a Life-Cycle Assessment (LCA) of one litre of milk, highlighting the environmental benefits and critical points of the innovation under study. Building on the LCA results, a business plan will be realized that consolidates costs, revenues, risks and opportunities, providing a clear picture of the innovation’s economic viability. In parallel, focus groups, surveys and a set of qualitative and quantitative indicators will help to assess stakeholders’ perceptions and the wider social impact, to anticipate potential barriers and incentives for adoption.
