LIVING LABS

Living Labs for innovation deployment approach will be applied in order to establish a better connection between practice and research, improved engagement with farmers’ decision-making and realise more impact on innovation and sustainability at farm and area level.

The facilitators and monitors of the 4 Living Labs (Poland, Italy, Bulgaria and Turkey) will be trained in facilitation methods, share progress, practices, experiences and approaches, using the knowledge of the European Network of Living Labs (EnoLL) and the practical experience of AIAB.

The training and monitor of the LL facilitators and monitors will be implemented in 4 meetings (web-based or live) along the project duration. The training will empower each partner to set up and manage the local LL (T1.2) considering specific requirements, agriculture structure and social dynamics. The design of the LL will include:

  • identification of key practitioners -
  • simulation of local potential value chains -
  • identification of specific area of action and methodology, including early adopter’s involvement strategy (EAIS).

Continuous training will also empower partners in monitoring and reporting their activity, achievements and bottlenecks, that will be shared with the other partners for a common and strategic use of the experience gained. Final results and approaches of each lab will be described in practice abstracts and shared with other LL but also made available to the EnoLL community. The methodology used and the results achieved (or not achieved) as well as lessons learned in each LL will produce guidelines for LL implementation in organic farming innovation.
