Piezometer PM300

Electromechanical characterization of the piezoelectric samples through the measure of the piezoelectric strain coeffcient d₃₃.

• d₃₃ [pC/N] defined as the ratio between the collected charge generated on the two opposite surfaces of the sample (Q) and the applied force (F).
• Samples are placed between two electrodes and closed by a screw clamp.
• d₃₃ measured by stressing the specimen with a compressive sinusoidal force.

Energy harvesting system

• Piezoelectric unit consisting of multiple piezolectric transducers parallely connected.
• Linear motor to mechanically compress the piezoelectric unit.
• Load cell.
• Energy Storage System (ESS) such as a battery or a supercapacitor.
• Coupling circuit between the piezoelctric unit and the ESS.
