Cesena Lab works with businesses in the digital, web & new media field, and focuses on the growth of successful businesses in the Cesena area. Founded in 2013 at the initiative of the University of Bologna, the Municipality of Cesena and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Cesena, it presents the projects to a large number of industrial investors and investment funds to help new businesses grow quickly.

The call is open to teams of two or more people - aspiring entrepreneurs -, preferably aged between 18 and 35, or established innovative Start-ups aiming to establish a business activity which, for the whole free business incubation period, has its headquarters in the Cesena area.

It provides services to start-ups, making available:
- facilities with 24/7 access, with a desk, connectivity (100Mbps fibre), fax, printer, meeting room.
- Coaching in all project development phases, providing advice and contacts with Italian and international investors.
- On–demand training on legal, technological and administrative aspects.
- Legal and commercial advice, human resources provided by professionals.
- Support from university research groups on highly specialised technological issues.
- Meetings with the industrial and finance world to identify customers and investors
