We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic post-doc with research skills and willing to advance your research experience. You will work on a European funded project but also you will have the opportunity to have advance your research agenda.  This is a 12 months post to work in the Department of Psychology at the University of Bologna, Italy.


The Project

The project aims to investigate human factors-related issues in road safety with a focus on cycling safety.


Job description

Liaising with other members of the research project to establish a working relationship.

Writing up of reports and academic publications.

Presenting results at conferences and project meetings.

Contributing to research goals: elements of research planning, project management and organisation of group research meetings.

Supervising MSc students.

Acquiring new research funding.    



Required degree: PhD in a psychology-related discipline.

Required language skills. good command of written and spoken English, Italian language skills are not required.

Required qualifications:  a minimum of 2 peer-reviewed publications, experience in collecting and analysing quantitative data.

Desired personal qualities: High level of interpersonal skills, willingness to become acquainted with new topics and methods regarding risk, safety and applied human factors; conscientiousness and reliability.



Salary: €23.000 in 12 months (around  €1900 monthly) before tax

Beginning of employment: the application will be published online around Nov 2017 in the website of the University of Bologna

Duration of contract: 12 months

We are currently seeking research assistants with competences in the area of Organizational and Work Psychology. 

Candidates should possess a Master in Psychology or Ergonomics, be fluent in English, motivated and suited to teamwork.

Desired but not essential skills include: previous experience in EU projects.

Beginning of the fellowship: Oct- Nov 2017.

Working full time in Bologna e/o Cesena.
