Students

University students at all levels can collaborate with the FSC Center through theses and internships, while outstanding students may continue with doctoral studies or research fellowships.

Thesis and Internship Opportunities at the Logistics Laboratory!

The Logistics Laboratory of the Food Supply Chain Center is a space where research and experimentation meet. Here, students have the opportunity to collaborate with young researchers and actively contribute to the development of innovative solutions for logistics and agri-food supply chains.

Activities cover several areas, combining technical skills, hands-on experimentation, and digital modeling:

Logistics Laboratory

  • Design and implementation of experimental layouts, from equipment selection to installation.
  • Definition of analytical protocols, including goods flow mapping, sampling, and signal processing during testing.

Anthropomorphic Robot

  • Development of a digital twin to evaluate and optimize ergonomic, energy, and logistics aspects.
  • Implementation of vision algorithms for dynamic pick-and-place operations.
  • Creation of virtual environments to simulate different handling and palletizing strategies.

Transport Simulator (Hexapod + Climatic Chamber)

  • Design of protocols for sampling and simulating real signals, both in real time and retrospectively.
  • Development of vibration profiles based on industry regulations and standards.
  • Translation of commercial routes into environmental and mechanical stress profiles (“from road to signal”).

Participating in these activities means working with cutting-edge technologies, analyzing real-world industrial data, and contributing to concrete projects that integrate logistics, automation, and sustainability.
