Yezin Agricultural University aims to be a prime mover of agricultural and rural development in Myanmar through human resource development, as well as a national supplier of scientific knowledge and technological innovation. Its mission and organization encompass the education and training of national human resources, in order to be professional agriculturists who will provide leadership and competences to institutions in the agricultural sector, while contributing to rural growth both regionally and nationally. Currently, the university has 1925 students enrolled and 180 academic staff. YAU offers different programs, including crop production (Agronomy, Horticulture and Industrial) protection and improvement, post-harvest and food technology, agricultural biotechnology, crop breeding, soil and water management, agri-business management, lowland, dry land and hillside farming system. Internationalization activities performed at Yezin Agricultural University include EU Projects (Lotus+, Erasmus+, NutriSEA), academic exchange programs, and cooperation projects with partner universities located in South Korea, India, and Australia.
