Marco is a Medieval archaeologist and he is carrying on his researches in the field of the landscape history and archeology. His interests are related in particular to the study of the rural landscape transformation from Late Antiquity to the end of Middle Ages, to the relation between city and countryside and, from a methodological point of view, to the use of GIS technology in these fields of research.

Nicola Terrenato is Esther B. Van Deman Collegiate Professor of Roman Studies at the University of Michigan and director of the Kelsey Museum at Ann Arbor. Since 2007 he is the director of the Gabii project, a research excavation investigating the ancient city of Gabii, located approximately 18 km eastwards from Rome. He wrote numerous papers in top-tier journals. Currently, is member of Editorial Board of Journal of Field Archaeology, American Journal of Archaeology, FACTA. Journal of Roman Material Culture Studies, Mouseion, Bibliotheca Archaeologica, Analysis Archaeologica. He is Advisory Editor for Antiquity; member of the Advisory Board for Spatial Archaeometry Research Collaborations and Theoretical Roman Archaeology Conference. He is board member of several Funding Institu- tions (e.g. National Science Foundation, National Geographic Society, Institute for Advanced Study, National Re- search Council, Italy, Freie Universität Berlin, etc.)

Andrea Augenti teaches Medieval archaeology at the University of Bologna since 2000. He carried out investigations in many Italian sites, and directed the excavations of the port and of the monastery of San Severo in Classe (Ravenna). He is currently director of the excavations in the abandoned town of Cervia Vecchia (RA). Andrea Augenti is also editor of the journal 'Archeologia Medievale' and member of the International Advisory Board of the journal 'Medieval Archaeology'. He is currently member of the Scientific Committee of the magazine 'Archeo', of the Archaeological Park of the Colosseum (Rome) and of the 'RavennAntica' Foundation. Miguel Azenha is an Assistant Professor at the Structural Division in the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Minho, His research interests comprise: (i) numerical and experimental study of concrete at early ages regarding phenomena such as thermo-hygral-mechanical couplings, concrete properties evolution during hydration, creep and shrinkage; (ii) use of digital processes in construction, namely Building Information Modelling. Chair of RILEM TC 287-CCS “Early age and long-term crack width analysis in RC Structures” and past Chair of COST Action TU1404 “Towards the next generation of standards for service life of cement-based materials and structures”. Coordinator of the Portuguese National Course in ‘Building Information Modelling’ and member of the national BIM Drafting Committee. Director of the ERASMUS+ Master Course in Building Information Modelling.
