The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence EUFutures (2026-2028) investigates how the European Union can secure sustainable, inclusive, and resilient economic growth in an era marked by climate change, geopolitical competition, and rising social and economic tensions. Based at the University of Bologna's Department of Political and Social Sciences, the Centre serves as an interdisciplinary laboratory bringing together researchers, students, policymakers, businesses, and civil society to rethink the foundations of the EU’s economic model. Through innovative research, new teaching initiatives, and dialogue with societal and economic actors, EUFutures aims to deepen understanding of Europe’s contemporary growth challenges, learn from international experiences, and develop forward-looking policy strategies that support a more cohesive, just, and future-oriented European Union.
