WP2 Unpacking the foundations of EU Growth
WP2 aims to analyze the historical foundations of the EU growth model, assessing how economic strategies have evolved and identifying key institutional, political, and economc forces that shaped them.
WP2 objectives include: Mapping key milestones in the EU’s economic history and tracing the evolution of growth strategies; Evaluating the impact of market integration, regulation, structural reforms, and economic openness on economic growth; Investigating the role of political actors, institutional frameworks, and distributive effects in shaping growth policies; Extracting historical lessons to inform future economic strategies in response to contemporary challenges.
WP2 activities include: Mapping EU Growth Turning Points (timeline); Designing and delivering Teaching Modules Examining and Evaluating the Pillars of Growth; delivering a Public Lecture Series on “EU Growth Under Stress”, annual Policy Design Labs for students, and the Compilation of a Student Policy Report.
