EUDI Show 2026 – the European Diving Show held in Bologna from 20 to 22 February 2026 – provided an important opportunity to showcase the project’s activities and vision.
On Friday, 20 at 14:30, the project contributed to the talk titled “Engaging Divers in Underwater Habitat Restoration Projects.” The session focused on the strategic role of volunteer divers and local dive centres in ecological restoration initiatives.
AIOSS, Reef Check Italia, and several other organisations are currently implementing projects to restore ecologically significant marine habitats – including Posidonia seagrass meadows, coralligenous reefs, and oyster reefs. In these initiatives, the involvement of the diving community is often decisive: from environmental monitoring and data collection to hands-on restoration actions and public awareness activities.
