Dr. Anna María Pálsdóttir is senior lecturer (assistant professor) in environmental psychology at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) at the Department of People and Society. She is a professional horticulturist and holds a BSc in Biology & Horticulture Sciences and an MSc and PhD in Landscape Planning and Environmental Psychology. She works with conceptual development and scientific evaluations of nature-based and nature-assisted interventions that are conducted in various outdoor environments for different target groups. Her research also focuses on the content and design of sustainable outdoor environments for human health and well-being. She is one of the founders of the Outdoor Environments for Health and Wellbeing master’s program (OWH)) and has developed many courses focusing on nature-based and animal assisted interventions and sensory expression in outdoor environments.

Associate professor in agricultural and food policy and agricultural policy evaluation at the Department of Agricultural and Food Sciences (DISTAL) of the University of Bologna (Italy). He worked as international consultant for the evaluation of EU and FAO funded projects in Europe and Central Asia. His main fields of expertise include: agricultural, food and rural economics and policy; bioenergy economics and policy; bioenergy system analysis; agricultural and rural policy evaluation; life cycle assessment; cost benefit analysis; economic modelling using different approaches

Senior Researcher in the field of Life Cycle Assessment and Environmental Management, at the IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute. His expertise and current work includes quantitative and qualitative research methods applied to understanding the implications of consumption and the use of sustainability assessments of industrial symbiosis, circular economy, food production systems, bio-based industries and bioenergy and in what ways sustainability assessment information can be improved and perceived.

Prof. Dr. Mohsen Aboulnaga has more than thirty five years of experience in higher education, high-level government positions, senior management, and consultancy in sustainable cities, climate change adaptation, and sustainable development as well as sustainable energy, including energy efficiency and renewable energy; energy policy development as well as academic positions.

ILS - Research Institute for Regional and Urban Development (Germany)

Senior Researcher at the Research Institute for Regional and Urban Development, located in Dortmund and Aachen, Germany. She studied architecture and urban design (Dipl.-Ing.) at RWTH Aachen University. She has got a track record in research on adaptation processes of the built environment and green infrastructure and is expert in the area of urban gardening. She chaired COST Action TU1201 “Urban Allotment Gardens in European Cities” (2012- 2016) and is co-editor and co-author of the book “Urban Allotment Gardens in Europe” (Routledge, 2016), and partner coordinator of “FEW-meter”, funded the Joint Programme Initiative Sustainable Urbanisation Global Initiative (SUGI) with Horizon 2020.
