Viki Mladenova presented on "Mobility as disruptive thinking"
Date:
Event location: University of Edinburgh
This years’ annual conference of the Society for Italian Philosophy took place June 17-19 at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, bringing together international scholars to discuss contemporary directions, challenges, and critical interventions within the tradition of Italian Thought. Viki Mladenova presented a paper entitled Mobility as disruptive thinking: exploring subjectivity and community through Italian Critical Geography and Naples’ Cultural Studies in the panel Cosmology and Geography: Possibilities of Infinity and Community. The presentation staged a conceptual crossing between the Critical Geography of the "Bologna school" and the Post-Colonial Cultural Studies tradition of Naples’ L’Orientale, tracing how mobility operates as a radical, constituent force.
