Valeria Raimondi presented research and attended the workshop “Nudging forward as a new strategy for governing forced migration at EU’s periphery,” held at the Impact Hub in Athens, Greece, from 25-26 April, 2024. The workshop was hosted by the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity research group “The New Guards: Re-bordering the Southeast Mediterranean in an age of migration.” The Partner group includes by Dr. Michalis Moutselos, Dr. Tihomir Sabchev, and Dr. Steven Vertovec. The workshop explored the strategies of Greece, Malta, Cyprus, and Italy in relation to bordering practices, reception, integration, and so-called “secondary mobilities.” Valeria’s paper addressed these theme by presenting research conducted within TheGame, “Greece: from European “shield” to “nudging forward” country for migrants”.
