Emma Beatrice Farina presented a paper at the European Association of Archaeologists Annual Meeting held at La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy.
Emma's paper, “TheGame Project. Archaeological Approaches to Homing Strategies in Makeshift Camps along the Balkan Route”, was included in the panel “Transient Traces. Unearthing the Hidden Material Dimensions of Contemporary Migration” chaired by Johannes Jungfleisch (Ruhr-Universität Bochum) and Timothy Raeymaekers (University of Bologna). The session brought together researchers from different disciplines studying the material traces of migration around the world. The contribution introduced the ERC project and illustrated the first results of fieldwork conducted in Greece, Italy and Slovenia.
